Pros: I've been wondering how to review this hotel. We had a room with the most incredible view. Sunsets from the balcony were amazing. We had a drop down bed which I was a bit dubious over but it was surprisingly comfortable. The room itself was lovely and the staff were great. Room was serviced early in the day too.
Cons: There is no beach in front of the hotel and the sea water is dirty in front of it too due to storm water inflow or something. its a bit of a walk to get to a section of beach where you can snorkel easily. It's also often windy, whereas hotels that are on the proper section of beach are more protected. Be aware that the sea has a fast drop so not as safe to swim in as Honolulu. There also aren't as many restaurants around as Honolulu. We got the impression people cooked in their room, which we weren't planning to do. There are hotels all along the beach and even tho the beach is public, the hotels like to keep them private to their own hotel guests so there isn't much public parking. Best to get parking early!

Pros: Huge beach and boardwalk to walk on from the hotel going to the south. We just had a studio, but it had all the comforts, including granite countertops and a huge balcony at water's edge. Loved the sight and sound of the surf rolling in. At the end of each day we used the welcoming hot tub and pool. Cook in the room, BBQ on the main lawn patio, or walk along the boardwalk to delicious Duke's restaurant & bar next door. Very short drive to all amenities. If we came back here I would option up to the one bedroom.
