Laupahoehoe Point Beach Park, 1.2 mi. off SR 19 via a narrow winding road, is n. of Pāpa‘aloa and Laupahoehoe. The park is on a picturesque peninsula bounded by a spectacular seacoast. There is a monument commemorating the victims of the 1946 tsunami.
Note: Swimming and fishing are not recommended due to the hazardous shoreline and rough surf. With permits, two pavilions are available for day use.
Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
