Laupahoehoe Point Beach Park, 1.2 mi. off SR 19 via a narrow winding road, is n. of Pāpa‘aloa and Laupahoehoe. The park is on a picturesque peninsula bounded by a spectacular seacoast. There is a monument commemorating the victims of the 1946 tsunami. Note: Swimming and fishing are not recommended due to the hazardous shoreline and rough surf. With permits, two pavilions are available for day use. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
Park free. A fee is charged for camping.
