All units are individually owned and decorated. Ocean swimming is recommended at a nearby public beach park due this property's rocky shoreline. Wouldn't stay here.
Pros: Good location, right on the water. Can't really get any closer without being in the water. Friendly staff. Close to major attractions, shopping, and the beach.
Cons: The property is old and it shows. The elevator needs updating. Appliances work but are old. Not much in the way of supplies for a condo. Other places have higher quality stock and are just better. Finding your way around the property can be a little convoluted. The parking, although adequate, is variable in terms of how accessible it is from where you park and where your location is (meaning you may have to walk). My unit did NOT have air conditioning. I knew this going in, and assumed it wouldn't be a problem since, well, you're in Hawai'i and by the ocean. However, the unit is not really well ventilated and it WAS a problem; in retrospect I wish I had booked elsewhere. It was better to be outside than in the room, and evenings were rough because of the heat. This was true even with all the windows wide open--which by the way, limits your privacy because you can hear everyone around you (and presumably they can hear you)- walking the hallways, in their rooms, everything. The ocean is also VERY loud. Again, thought that this wound't be a problem because, of course, who doesn't like ocean sounds? But it is VERY loud... Finally, there's the cost. It's very expensive and you're paying for location.
