AAA Inspector Notes
This majestic, stark-white, Mediterranean-style building stands out among the lush Hawaiian foliage. Inside you'll find wonderfully large one-bedroom suites, each with a separate sitting area. The enormous lanais offer full or partial ocean views. Taking the spotlight at this property, however, has to be its landscaped grounds and large pools, not to mention the grand lobby! Smoke free premises. 450 units, some two bedrooms, three bedrooms and kitchens. 2-7 stories, interior/exterior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Pros:
Cons: No drinks service at the beach. Over priced restaurants and tennis. Recommended louau trip was to an inferior hotel with poor quality food and cheap organisation.

Pros: Great Stearns and Foster beds, nice views from suite, well cared for grounds, very nice architecture and open air feel. It's very nice.
Cons: It's not 900 dollars a night nice. It's OK if you have money to burn, but I work hard for my money and I would not pay that kind of money for this property again. It is nice...but overrated and over priced in my opinion.

Pros: - beachfront property with multiple pools - on-site everything, including an excellent (captive) store/cafe for snacks
Cons: - isolated, quite a drive from any actual towns - poor space utilization in rooms (large bath, small non-separate second room) - smelly pool restrooms - no breakfast included

Pros: Location and staff were fantastic. Beach and snorkeling right off of the hotel were fantastic. Saw sea turtles on multiple days right at the reef off the hotel's beach.
Cons: The food was mediocre. The salad I had at "Sammy's" at the airport before returning home was better than anything I had at a top tier hotel (airport food should never beat The Fairmont's food). Much of the food lacked inspiration, many meals weren't seasoned properly (lacked salt), and the cost to taste ratio was over the top. By far the only real disappointment from our stay.
