Foster Botanical Garden, 180 N. Vineyard Blvd., has 14 acres of rare trees, palms, orchids and other tropical plants from throughout the world. Of interest are the collection of exotic cycads and ferns in the Prehistoric Glen section, an outdoor butterfly habitat garden, and a conservatory featuring orchids and tropical plants. The garden was begun in 1853 and many original trees still flourish.
