Gem County Village Museum is at 501 E. 1st St. The five-building complex includes a museum with a variety of historical displays as well as a blacksmith shop and a one-room school. A bunkhouse contains early ranching items and a natural history exhibit. The Hunt House showcases the furnishings and personal belongings of Frank W. Hunt, the fifth governor of Idaho. The first weekend in October, the museum features A River Through Time, a hands-on, living-history celebration of the people who settled Payette River Valley, and a Civil War re-enactment.
