AAA Editor Notes
Kooskia National Fish Hatchery is 2 mi. s.e. on Clear Creek County Rd. Chinook salmon eggs are collected, incubated and hatched, and the young fish are reared. The best times to visit are in early March before the young chinook are set free or during June and July when the adults return to spawn. An interpretive trail passes a historic mill and a Native American village site.
