Northern Idaho Indian Agency

Northern Idaho Indian Agency, 99 Agency Rd. near Fort Lapwai, is the Bureau of Indian Affairs headquarters of Idaho's Nez Perce, Coeur d'Alene and Kootenai Indians. Established in 1862, the agency is a component of Nez Perce National Historical Park. The 1883 Officer's Quarters is one of the fort's few original buildings. The Nez Perce Tribal Community Building and Bureau of Indian Affairs Office are .25-mile north of Old Fort Lapwai.
