Jefferson County Historical Society and Farnsworth TV and Pioneer Museum, 118 West 1st South, highlights Jefferson County history and includes displays about the city's role in the birth of television. Philo Farnsworth, who conceived the world's first all-electronic television, formulated his ideas about the electronic transmission of visual images while a Rigby resident. The museum's varied collection includes vintage TV sets as well as an early barbershop, military memorabilia and a chainsaw tree. Also featured are World War I and World War II uniforms, weapons and mementos. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
