The Herrett Center for Arts & Science, on the north side of the College of Southern Idaho campus, contains artifacts from pre-Columbian civilizations of the Western Hemisphere. The center features contemporary art, a mammoth skeleton and changing exhibits. Visitors can see educational and entertainment shows in a planetarium. The observatory has a research-grade 24-inch telescope. A rain forest exhibit is home to live reptiles and features interactive displays.
Museum and galleries free. Planetarium $6; $5 (ages 60+); $4 (ages 2-18).
