AAA Editor Notes

The Wolf Education and Research Center is at 1721 Forest Rd. The center's 300 acres of timberland are home to a pack of gray wolves. Visitors have a chance to observe these animals in their natural habitat, courtesy of a .3-mile trail that comes within 50 yards of the wolves' enclosure, though sightings cannot be guaranteed. A visitor center, built to resemble a Nez Perce tribal long house, has displays about wolves. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
