AAA Editor Notes
Graue Mill and Museum, on York and Spring rds. between 31st St. and Ogden Ave. (US 34), is a waterwheel gristmill dating from 1852. The milling process is demonstrated and explained. The basement is reported to have been a station on the Underground Railroad system. A museum on the two upper floors contains items depicting pioneer life on the Illinois prairie from the middle and late 1800s. Demonstrations of weaving and spinning are provided.

Special events are offered on weekends, including Christmas at the Mill Holiday Boutique in mid-November. Guided tours are available by appointment.
