Cosley Zoo

Cosley Zoo, 1356 N. Gary Ave. at Jewell Rd., is a 5-acre zoo with more than 125 domestic and wild animals representing more than 50 species. Discovery Station presentations include animal encounters and training sessions. Self-guiding backpack tours provide activities to learn about animal and habitat conservation. A train station and railroad caboose also are on site.

A behind-the-scenes tour, Bobcats Backstage, is available by reservation. Food is available Apr.-Oct.

Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
