360 CHICAGO, formerly the John Hancock Observatory, is at the John Hancock Center, 875 N. Michigan Ave. between Delaware Pl. and E. Chestnut St. The 100-story center stands 1,127 feet high and contains offices, apartments, shops and parking facilities. The X-frames on the tower are the center's distinguishing features. The observatory on the 94th floor offers 360-degree views of the city and surrounding states through floor-to-ceiling windows, an outdoor Skywalk, the TILT downward-facing enclosed glass platform and interactive exhibits describing Chicago's highlights and history. A multimedia audio tour available in seven languages uses handheld devices with display screens to provide information about the city.
