Adlai E. Stevenson II Historic Home

Adlai E. Stevenson II Historic Home is at 25200 N. St. Marys Rd. and was the home of this renowned U.N. Ambassador. Stevenson played a large role in Cold War politics during the 1961 Bay of Pigs Invasion and the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. Self-guiding tours around the property give historical information about the site. Inside the stable building are exhibits about Stevenson's life and career. The house is also the home of the Adlai Stevenson Center on Democracy, which works to address the challenges of democratic systems within government.

Guided tours of the home are offered monthly and by appointment.
