Illinois Railway Museum is .6 mi. e. via Jefferson St., then .3 mi. s. to 7000 Olson Rd. The museum displays steam engines, streetcars, interurban electric cars, steam railroad cars and an 1851 railroad station. Exhibits explain how railroads helped shape the Chicago area and the rest of the United States. Rides in electric cars are offered throughout the day. Diesel-powered or steam trains also run Sat.-Sun. and holidays, May through September.
