Jane Addams' Hull-House Museum, 800 S. Halsted St. on the University of Illinois at Chicago campus, is inside two of the original buildings from Chicago's first social settlement—the Arts and Crafts-style residents' dining hall and the restored house used by Jane Addams, humanitarian, pioneer settlement worker and the first American woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize. The mansion contains paintings, memorabilia and photographs. Exhibits explore women's history, efforts related to social change and the lives of immigrants on the Near West Side. Changing exhibits also are presented.

Guided tours are available.
