National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame is at 1431 W. Taylor St. Exhibits describe the accomplishments of Italian-American sports figures and include swimmer Matt Biondi’s 11 Olympic medals and Rocky Marciano’s World Heavyweight Championship Belt. Visitors also can see three formula race cars suspended from the ceiling and the Arizona Diamondbacks 2001 World Series Championship Trophy. A 30-foot-wide screen in the main gallery shows multimedia presentations, and TV monitors at each exhibit case play clips highlighting the careers of hall of fame athletes. Exhibits on the second floor include sports memorabilia and Joe Amato's 32-foot-long dragster. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
