AAA Editor Notes

Soldier Field, 1410 S. Museum Campus Dr., is home to the National Football League's Chicago Bears. One of the league's smallest venues, the stadium originally opened in 1924 as a tribute to American servicemen who died in World War I. Controversial renovations in 2003 included the addition of a 66,944-seat stadium built within—and rising above—the shell of the old structure, but the original neoclassical colonnades of the exterior remain. A guided tour takes guests to the field, south courtyard, grand concourse, Skyline Suite and visiting team locker room. Guided tours are available.
Guided tour $15; $10 (students ages 10+ with ID); $7 (senior citizens); $4 (ages 4-9).
Hours: Guided tours are offered Mon.-Fri. Tour schedule varies; phone ahead to confirm schedule.
