No towels at the swimming pool one morning. When these were requested we were told that there were none. We had to go to our rooms to bring the towels from there to use at the swimming pool.
Very poor on the toiletries in the room. Only 2 small shampoo/conditioner for 2 people. Some days these were not replaced and we had to request them direct from housekeeping.

Pros: The man working the front desk when we came in was very helpful with finding a restaurant nearby. The same man and i believe the manager when my son was hurt there on the pool door and they got us a taxi as well as provided us all the information for the nearest hospital.
Rooms are decorated nice!
Cons: My 10 yr old son had his foot sliced open on the pool door being so heavy and metal. He required hospital treatment as well as stitches. Had the door had a plastic trim piece on the bottom this may not have happened. Had it been my 2 year old daughter she would have died due to the weight of the door!
The way the rooms are described is not accurate. We were told we would have a double room with double beds, microwave and fridge. None of that is accurate. Free parking also inaccurate!
No tub to bathe our 2 year old daughter in - only a stand up shower :(

Pros: The proximity to the train station was a huge plus.
A shout out to the gentleman who helped us with the doors and helped us store our luggage.
Cons: A poorly trained front desk staff member with a complete lack of customer service skills and needs extensive diversity training.

Pros: The staff were kind, and assisted when our flight was cancelled and we had a last-minute reservation change. Staff were more than accommodating of special diet during the breakfast. Staff were pleasant and positive!

Cons: These are not things I didn't like. Just moments... And very minor at that: I always carry water bottles with me. It would have been nice to be able to fill them with filtered water without going to the lower level drinking fountain. If the water dispenser in the breakfast nook was open all day, it would have been great. And the cost of parking.... But that's just Chicago. And it was a bit of a long walk to some of the attractions ... More of a business district location than a tourist spot. But then, I got a lot of healthy exercise.

Cons: The free breakfast is like nothing I've ever experienced. Do not recommend at all. Dunkin Donuts is around the corner, plus several other little establishments. The breakfast is hard to describe; you would have to experience it for yourself.

Pros: The staff was helpful with directions to good places to eat and when we told them that neither vending machine worked, they were kind enough to sell us bottled water. The Keurig coffee was free and delicious and the breakfast was more than we expected.
Cons: The vending machines did not work and before we got there, as a request we asked to get into the room before 3:30, we got an email saying we could, for another hundred dollars. However, I called to see if they would hold our bags and was told if they had a room available we could get right in. It all worked out fine, they held our bags until 1:30 we were lucky enough to get in to our room. The location from Amtrak was great. The television volume was hard to hear over the air and could not be turned up higher than 23 - which I can understand but better speakers would have been nice.

Cons: We booked a room for three, double and single beds. There was not single bed, only a sofa, without sheets. We have to ask for them in front desk and in neither of our 6 day stay, made the sofa bed, only the main bed, still we don't know why. We stayed there same dates as Lollapalooza was developing, so staff basically don't care really much about anything because the whole city was sold out.
Only 2 hour breakfast early window time, crowed and not very much to choose from.
Totally overpriced, and not only because of Lollapalooza.

Pros: The staff was absolutely excellent. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we were allowed late check out! They made sure to accomadate all of our needs. The location is also perfect! You honestly could walk to just about anything in the city.
Cons: The only downside is that the only parking choice is the parking garage. It is understandable being that it is major city parking. It wasn't an obstacle or a burden, just a small negative. The loveliness of the hotel made up for it though!!
