Pros: Old fashioned cozy hotel vibe.
Cons: More up to date heating/cooling abilities in room (i.e. thermostat). Current radiant heat was difficult to reach as floor located dial was behind the radiator and crunched beside a console and the radiator was noisy. Shower made loud whistling noise when turned on.

Pros: The place was very nice. I'm sure if we had gotten a bigger room we would have been more impressed. Morning concierge was awesome. The continental breakfast was the best we had. Bathroom was great!
Cons: Night concierge was on her phone and rude when we asked about anything. Room was tiny and this room out of the 4 was one of the most expensive and we stayed there on a Monday when rates should be cheaper.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great to have a continental breakfast and access to tea/ coffee during the day. The price quoted was inclusive of all taxes, in contrast to other hotels we have stayed in.
Cons: We did get disturbed by noisy plumbing/ radiator filling, during the night, but I expect this may be expected of an old characterful property.

Pros: It felt like home. It was such an intimate space that contrasted the cold of Chicago beautifully. We also got upgraded at no extra charge which was so unexpected.
Cons: Bacon on the breakfast haha. Bacon makes everything better.
