Restaurants have overall ratings in the top 20% for their Diamond Rating level, plus no member complaints in the past 12 months.
In my estimation, this is not only a national treasure, this is a world-class gem. I would literally plan a visit to Chicago just to dine here.
AAA Inspector Notes
Chef Grant Achatz is a master of what has become known as molecular gastronomy, so come prepared for a dining adventure with exquisite flavors and interesting twists and turns. Count on the highly professional, engaging staff to guide you through every step. Dining is on three levels, each offering a different experience, starting with a 10- to 12-course dinner, up to the most exclusive, “The Kitchen Table." Reservations can only be made through the online booking system and must be prepaid. If you are looking to dine on specific dates, you must monitor the site daily because openings are released only a month or two in advance. One tip for the budget-conscious is to choose less popular dining times—the most popular dining times and days are the highest priced. Single-diner bookings are limited and a 20 percent service charge is added automatically (and don't forget taxes). Enjoy the extensive wine list, but keep in mind that wine-pairing options might provide the best course of action.
