AAA Inspector Notes
When most folks think of a steakhouse they don't ordinarily think of fine dining or luxurious dining rooms, but in the case of this gem on North Michigan Avenue those minds might just be changed. Perched on the second floor of a luxurious hotel and reached by walking up a winding marble staircase and across a glass footbridge, the restaurant presents lovely dark wood, leather and velvet accents. The menu incorporates some of Chicago icon Michael Jordan's favorite dishes. First-class dry-aged steaks, Wagyu beef and an excellent selection of fish are offered. Seared ahi tuna, roasted halibut and wild Alaskan salmon also make the cut on the varied menu. The signature cut is MJ's Prime Delmonico rib-eye, aged 45 days and served with a ginger balsamic vinegar jus poured over the steak at the table. Some menu items change with the season. Lamb chops, chicken and pork tenderloin also are available.
