Fork Rd., is a 3-acre complex that preserves the heritage of the area with changing and permanent exhibits of artifacts dating back to 1829—the Macon County settlement era. The complex includes galleries; a Lincoln room with exhibits about Abraham Lincoln, the Civil War and Grand Army of the Republic; and a video about Abraham Lincoln in Macon County.

A historic prairie village includes an 1850s log home, an 1860s one-room schoolhouse and the only log courthouse in which Lincoln practiced law.
