National Great Rivers Museum is at #2 Lock and Dam Way. Next to the Mississippi River, the museum houses interactive exhibits that describe the river's natural history and its commercial importance. Visitors can view a room-size model of river bluffs that highlights area wildlife and an aquarium that is home to Mississippi River fish species.
The Pilot House simulator enables visitors to experience what it is like to steer barges through a lock.
Picnicking is permitted.
