Elmhurst Art Museum, off St. Charles Rd. .6 mi. n. to 150 Cottage Hill Ave., exhibits contemporary paintings, sculpture, prints and ceramics by American artists from the 19th century to the present. Traveling exhibits also are featured. The 15,200-square-foot museum includes McCormick House—a 1952 row house prototype created by famed architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.
