Galesburg Railroad Museum, 211 S. Seminary St., exhibits railroad memorabilia and displays focusing primarily on Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad. A restored 1921 Pullman parlor car, a 1930 caboose, a 1930 Hudson locomotive, a 1920 baggage mail express car and two 1954 equipment cars are on the grounds. Section men's hand tools as well as gang and inspector's motor cars are displayed. Special events are offered including Holiday Extravaganza held the first weekend in December. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
$6; $3 (ages 8-16).
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10-4, Sun. noon-4, early Apr.-late Sept.; by appointment rest of year. Closed major holidays.
