Jurica-Suchy Nature Museum is on the second floor of the Michael and Kay Birck Hall of Science at Benedictine University, 5700 College Rd. The museum contains a collection of more than 10,000 natural history items. Many are displayed in northern Illinois, the Sonoran Desert and the African savanna dioramas featuring birds, mammals, reptiles, fish, insects and plants. A 38-foot-long rorqual whale skeleton hanging from the ceiling dominates the room.
