Ernest Hemingway Museum, 200 N. Oak Park Ave., includes samples of the author's writing. Hemingway: The Oak Park Years focuses on Hemingway's family life, love of nature, education and World War I and II experiences. Visitors can view first-edition book jackets, photographs, a diary, artifacts and letters. A 6-minute video highlights the author's high school years. Other exhibits include his works on film and his writings during World War II. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
(includes tour fee for The Hemingway Birthplace Home) $15; $13 (ages 6-18, ages 65+ and college students with ID).
Hours: Sun.-Fri. 1-5, Sat. 10-5. Closed Jan. 1, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
