Korean War National Museum Denis Healy Freedom Center is at 9 S. Old State Capitol Plaza. Across from the Old State Capital Building on a tree-shaded, pedestrian-only street, the museum honors the soldiers that fought in the Korean War. It houses a variety of historical collections including uniforms, flags, South Korean and U.S. military items and soldiers' personal effects. The information boards are large and feature striking pictures with a brief synopsis of the historical events leading up to, during and after the war. Temporary exhibits also are offered.
