Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art is at 500 W. Washington St. in White River State Park . This sandstone building was designed as a showcase for Native American and Western art, culture and history including art donated by prominent collectors. The museum highlights the West's diversity and features five major gallery spaces, including three for traveling exhibitions.

The newly renovated Western art galleries display paintings and sculptures from the early 19th century to the present and include works by Georgia O'Keeffe and Frederic Remington. The Native American galleries exhibit art and cultural objects including carvings, basketry, beadwork, pottery and clothing of Indigenous people from across North America with an emphasis on the Great Lakes cultures. The Contemporary Native art galleries showcase modern works including multimedia, prints and textiles by Native artists. The building itself is considered a work of art. The museum hosts different events throughout the year, including the Eiteljorg Indian Market and Festival, art shows and summer concert series under the shade of a sails structure.
