West Baden Springs Hotel

This 1902 spa hotel is noted for a massive dome encompassing a grand lobby with a polished mosaic marble floor. It is adorned with numerous Ionic and Corinthian pillars and stained-glass windows. Hotel grounds feature extensive, well-tended floral gardens while the interior public areas include a variety of restaurants and upscale boutique shops. Guest rooms are laid out along circular corridors (watch for compass decorations on the carpet to orient yourself) and are appointed with custom-made mahogany furniture. The artwork is inspired by antique postcards from the hotel. Suites have Bose radios and some have four-poster beds. Half of the rooms offer views of the domed lobby. Some rooms have sleeper sofas based on availability and upon request. Afternoon tea is served in the lobby on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
