National New York Central Railroad Museum is at 721 S. Main St. Featured within the museum's 6,000 square-foot exhibit space are two 1915 rail coaches, two 1880s freight houses, a stationmaster's office, an interactive display of a New York Central Mohawk steam locomotive and a 5-track O-gauge model railroad layout. Several locomotives and rail cars are displayed on the grounds including the NYC #3001 Mohawk Steam Engine. Nibco Express, a small train, rides on weekends during the summer months only. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$6; $5 (ages 4-12 and 61+). Train rides 50c.
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10-5, Sun. noon-4. Train rides depart Fri.-Sat. at 11, 1 and 3, Sun. at 1 and 3, mid-June to early Sept. Phone ahead to confirm schedule. Closed major holidays.
