Johnson County Museum of History is 1.5 blks. n. of Jefferson St. at 135 N. Main St. A former Masonic Temple houses a collection of items relating to the history of Johnson County. Exhibits include 19th-century furnishings and fashions, Native American artifacts, a pioneer-style room, dolls, Civil War memorabilia and a 1950s candy shop. A genealogical research room is available.
