White River State Park is at 801 W. Washington St. This urban state park features sports, entertainment and cultural venues on 250 acres in the heart of the city. A half-mile riverside promenade lined with Indiana limestone offers striking views of the White River and the downtown skyline. A pedestrian path runs along the Central Canal; bicycles, surreys, paddleboats and Segways can be rented. The city's minor-league baseball team, the Indianapolis Indians, plays at Victory Field.
Also on the park grounds are the Congressional Medal of Honor Memorial, the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, an IMAX theater, the Indianapolis Zoo, the Indiana State Museum, the NCAA Hall of Champions and White River Gardens.
