Built in 1906 after the original owners returned from Italy on their honeymoon, this building is modeled after a Florentine villa. Smaller, contemporary rooms have been added that are value priced. A complimentary butler's pantry is stocked with snacks and beverages for guests' enjoyment, and a full breakfast is served in the morning in the beautiful dining room. The roof-top terrace is inviting. This property has vaulted ceilings, stained glass, stone work, hardwood floors and is decorated with Italian paintings, artwork, fresh flowers and gilded mirrors. Beer and wine is served in the bar area.
Smoke free premises. 12 units, some kitchens. 2-3 stories (no elevator), interior corridors. Bath: some shared.
Pros: Bed was comfortable and the decor throughout the main building was beautiful. Breakfast was good with eggs made to order and different items each day. Owner was friendly but some of the staff could have been friendlier.
Cons: Avoid rooms in the carriage house where the bathrooms are shared with other guests. Cleaning staff was not thorough and there were Cobb webs. A/C control was in another room. Soap and shampoo were wall dispensers only, no toiletries. No spa or restaurant besides breakfast. A little removed from the Downtown area.
Pros: The staff was quite nice and helpful; breakfast was good. Parking behind the hotel was great.
Cons: The room was extremely small and did not have a bathroom. There was a bathroom available to us in the hallway. Our room did not have a dvd and I only mention this because they had a list of movies to watch but our room was apparently the only without. There was a microwave in the room but no rotating plate.
Pros: Room with own bath and breakfast in same building. The lady at check in was very helpful
Cons: Room without own bathroom
Pros: Location was great. Owner was very personable. Room was made up right away, while we had breakfast. Breakfast was quite nice. I imagine if I had an upstairs room, I would have rated this Inn much higher, but I was going budget.
Cons: I really enjoyed my stay, but a few things did create an issue. We stayed in a room in that was half basement/half ground floor. The furnace, water heater and AC system seemed to be behind a sliding wall in our bathroom. They made a lot of noise, but we travel with earplugs, so we fared ok. Those without earplugs would have had a hard time sleeping there. The mattress was not uncomfortable, but definitely lower in the middle so two people would roll to the center. Villa staff did not have any recommendations for dining or things to do in the neighborhood on hand, which I found odd.
Cons: You have to share the bathroom
Pros: Great location. The Inn has several areas to relax and enjoy beautiful surroundings. Excellent sleeping quarters and the cook is fantastic! We will return!
Cons: Excercise equipment needs maintence.
Pros: NIce facilities overall. Beautiful old Italian
residence. Cooked to order eggs and bacon for breakfast.
Cons: Sink trap full of old hair, etc. Left note that
all sinks should be checked and cleaned!
Pros: Modern well-decorated room. Main house room spacious. Dining area very nice with made to order breakfast. Great outdoor seating too.
Cons: We loved everything!
Pros: The room was very clean
Cons: Bed was a bit squeaky
Pros: So home-like. Very comfortable and Ms. J was AWESOME. Great experience
Cons: Nothing was negative!!!! I will be back!

Pros: The staff was so very pleasant and helpful, accommodating our late check in. The breakfast was excellent and the woman who fixed it for us was incredibly friendly. The inn was beautiful.
Cons: AC would've been better if we could've controlled it from our room. It got a little stuffy at times.
Pros: Beautiful property.
Cons: 1. Room was not ready when we scheduled our check in and would not be ready for FIVE hours.
2. Listing said there was a restaurant The Griphyn attached to the Inn. When we got there they said the restaurant just went out of business.
3. They gave us a key fob to get into the building after hours that DID NOT work.
4. There was NO staff at the Inn to open the door, the emergency number got no answer.
5. We slept in our car for hours before we could get in. I want a refund!
DO NOT STAY THERE!!!!
Pros: Breakfast was good. Off street parking.
Cons: I'm probably rating this higher than most would for our experience. We had booked a night after our wedding and there was another room
That had opened up that was nicer than the one we booked and the price quotes sounded fair. But then the desk clerk kept quoting different prices and ended up telling us a price that was almost $150 more than she originally quoted. She said it was due to taxes. She then came up with a lower price so we agreed to that price. When I checked my credit card statement the extra was charged to my card without my concent. We did talk to the GM about this and he will hopefully correct the issue. Second issue. Our shieets were not clean - looked like they had fresh make up on them or something like that. I went to ask for more and the same desk clerk gave us queen size (bed was king). We went to dinner right after that so didn't realize they were the wrong size (she did not offer to put them on even knowing we had just gotten married that day). When we came back she had already left. Luckily another woman was there. She gave us more sheets which also turned out to be queen so we had to go search for her again and third times the charm finally got a king size sheet set. These were just two big hassles that we did not need after an exhausting day of getting married!
Pros: Breakfast was wonderful and safe/easy parking. Staff was attentive to our needs.
Cons: Upon arriving in our room, the air was not working and room was VERY hot. After several hours, it finally cooled down. The mattress on our bed was worn out about 100 guests ago and was very uncomfortable to sleep on.

Cons: Poor staff, room was under the restaurant and was constantly noise above you. Didn't end till after 11pm and started back up before 7 am. The room was very hot, not comfortable at all. The included breakfast was a joke. They gave us one option, and then came back out and told us they would not be making any more of the options we did get, so the included breakfast actually meant I had to go purchase breakfast else where. And when I explained all this to the front desk the response I was given was sorry. I paid more then I should of to start then had a crappy stay in every aspect.
Cons: Very noisy didn't realize the bathroom wasn't in the room.
Pros: The breakfast was great. the ppl were super nice and accommodating. The terrazzo was nice.
Cons: The beds were bad my head was lower than my feet. Found a Xanax on the floor I don't take medication. Rooms were small. Not all rooms have tubs.
Pros: A quaint and charming B&B with an amusing staff and ideal location!
Cons: We liked everything about this Inn
Pros: Beautiful setting! It was like stepping into Europe for the weekend.
Cons: Front desk staffing could have been more helpful and friendly. The stairs in the carriage house are VERY steep and sharing a bathroom downstairs was unexpected.
Pros: Attentive staff, nice decor!
Cons: The fridge had gone out so there was no milk for the cereal.
Pros: Nice clean room and a great staff, especially at breakfast.
Cons: Carriage house room didn't have in room bathroom and stairs to second floor are quite steep. Stairs would not be code if built new.
Pros: Nice sitting room and comfortable surroundings.
Cons: Guest bar service lacking (instant coffee and expired creamers) Would have preferred in room coffee maker or kuerig machine. Did not know restaurant no longer served dinner.
