Elwood Haynes Museum is at 1915 S. Webster St. Articles relate to the inventor's life, including 1905, 1923 and 1924 Haynes automobiles. The second floor contains industrial displays. A monument east of the city marks the place where Haynes' original car, one of the first American automobiles, made its initial road test on July 4, 1894. Guided tours and a film presentation are available.
