Memorial Visitor Center, off SR 162, is an architecturally unusual structure built of native stone and wood. Included in the building are halls honoring Abraham and Nancy Hanks Lincoln; exterior sculptured panels depict important periods in Lincoln's life. Also featured are a 15-minute film and a museum based on Lincoln's 14 years in the state. Interpretive material is available.

Hours: Daily 8-5, mid-Apr. to late Sept.; Wed.-Sun. 8-4, Mon.-Tues. 7-3, rest of year. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
