Muncie Children's Museum is at 515 S. High St. This hands-on center for children encourages educational and interactive learning through play. Exhibits allow kids to pretend to be truck drivers, geologists, ants, farmers, paleontologists, grocers, engineers and birds. Snakes, a turtle and a rabbit are among the creatures on display in Animal Corner. Performances and presentations take place in the Outdoor Learning Center; Tot Spot is a play area designed for the 5-and-under crowd. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
$6; $3 (second Sun. of the month); free (under 1 and to all third Sat. of the month).
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10-5, Sun. 1-5. Closed major holidays.
