Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge is 3 mi. e. of jct. I-65 and US 50. The 7,800-acre tract includes a hardwood forest and wetland habitats that are home to a variety of birds and wildlife. With 9 miles of roads and 5 miles of hiking trails, the refuge offers opportunities for wildlife observation, photography, fishing, hunting, hiking and mushroom and berry picking. Maps for an interpretive trail and a self-guiding driving tour are available at the visitor center.
