AAA Editor Notes

Theodore M. Hesburgh Library is at the east quadrangle on the University of Notre Dame campus. The 14-story library holds nearly 3 million research volumes and can accommodate more than half the student body. “The Word of Life,” a massive granite mosaic, covers the southern wall. Football fans can see this figure of Christ, raising his hands in benediction, from the north goal post—hence the nickname “Touchdown Jesus.”
