The Shrine of Christ's Passion

The Shrine of Christ's Passion is at 10630 Wicker Ave. (US 41). Visitors delve into the story of Jesus' death on this half-mile outdoor walking trail featuring 40 bronze, life-size sculptures in 18 interactive stations, benches and a covered patio. At each station you'll see a life-size representation of a biblical scene and hear a short narration describing the scene. The journey begins with the Last Supper exhibit and ends with a sculpture of Jesus ascending into heaven. Special events are scheduled on certain religious holidays.

Note: The round-trip distance is 1 mile, and there is little shade. A portion of the trail requires visitors to climb a small hill. Motorized carts driven by volunteers are available for those requiring assistance (arrangements must be made in advance, $5 per person), and the trail is wheelchair accessible.

Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
