AAA Editor Notes
Terre Haute Children's Museum is at 727 Wabash Ave.; free 2-hour street parking is available. This three-story, hands-on museum teaches visitors about agriculture, anatomy, energy, paleontology, meteorology, technology, veterinary medicine and more.

The first floor has a dinosaur dig site; a veterinary clinic complete with an exam table and toy instruments; and exhibits that allow visitors to race against different animals. Youngsters can access the museum's second level via a two-story tree house featuring a slide, “pollen shooters” and telescopes.

A water table, a huge bubble maker, a stock car, a toddler play area and exhibits about energy and agriculture provide second-floor fun. You can learn about the different parts of the human body and their functions, deliver a weather or news report, build and race LEGO vehicles and see a variety of animals on the third floor.

Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
