This 1902 spa hotel is noted for its massive dome encompassing a great lobby that has a polished mosaic tile floor and is adorned with numerous Ionic and Corinthian pillars and stained-glass windows. Hotel grounds feature extensive, well-tended floral gardens while the interior public areas include a variety of restaurants and upscale shops. Guest rooms are laid out along circular corridors (watch for compass decorations on the carpet to orient yourself) and are appointed with custom-made mahogany furniture. The artwork is inspired by antique postcards from the hotel. Suites have Bose radios and some have four-poster beds. Half of the rooms offer views of the domed lobby.
Smoke free premises. 243 units, some two bedrooms. 6 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).
