I find that the ornate dining room, with its marble columns and ceiling adorned with gold leaf, provides a trip back in time.
AAA Inspector Notes
Historic. Set in a grand resort hotel built in 1902, the impressive dining room's ornate architectural details are captured by the natural light from the two-story windows. The menu offers large portions of hearty Midwest fare, such as a filet mignon or "black and blue" bison filet. Save room for a decadent dessert, such as the West Baden chocolate dome (a chocolate cake and mousse). Then walk off the meal's calories in the beautiful gardens surrounding the hotel. The menu is complemented by an extensive wine list that includes many wines by the glass. Service is provided by a very attentive team of staff members.
