THIS HOTEL IS PERFECT FOR FAMILIES AND BUSINESS TRAVELERS. IT CERTAINLY MET MY NEEDS WHICH IS TO VISIT WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS. I DON'T SPEND A LOT OF TIME IN THE HOTEL BUT WHEN I DID IT WAS PERFECT. VERY CLEAN. LOVED THE KITCHEN AREA. I WAS ABLE TO BUY A FEW THINGS AND KEEP THEM IN THE FREEZER UNTIL I LEFT FOR HOME. STAFF VERY FRIENDLY. THE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST IS PERFECET FOR FAMILIES.
Pros: CLEAN, VERY WELL LOCATED, EASY TO FIND, PERFECT FOR FAMILIES AND BUSNESS PEOPLE
Cons: THIS WAS NOT A ROMANTIC, PLUSH HOTEL BUT VERY CLEAN AND MEETS A TRAVELERS NEEDS.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful when asking general questions about the area. Since the hotel accepts pets, the noise can be obnoxious however. Two dogs were barking non-stop across the hallway, and were reported 3 times. We were never offered a room to move away from the noise. The parking lot is not designed to be walked in at night either. Unless you can get a parking space near the main entrance, there was practically no lighting in the parking lot.
Pros: The room had a full size refrigerator/stove, shower was very clean.
Cons: Lighting in parking extremely poor.
Although we picked this hotel for price and pet-friendliness, we will definitely not be returning here. The room was extremely smoky, and marginally clean. I would definitely recommend spending a little more and staying at another location in Cedar Rapids.
Cons: Very smoky.
It was OK but the air in the room smelled smoky although not a smoking room. The smoking courtroom is surrounded by the U shaped building and it seems the smoke seeps into the rooms through the air conditioning units or open windows. Not pleasant for non smokers and irritating to the lungs and eyes.
Pros: Full kitchen in room.
Cons: It smelled very yucky like old smoke although not a smoking room.
Pros: The suite, although small, was clean and had an adequate small kitchen area and comfortable chairs at the table.
Cons: Inside of hotel being painted. Fumes were horrible and unbearable with asthma & partially collapse lung. Halls were completely covered in plastic, which I tripped on. Pool/hot tub was closed. Going to cancel day 2 but said pool would be open. It was not!
Pros: staff was friendly
Cons: Breakfast was not that great. No fresh fruit! Carpet in room looked very dirty, and lobby was a mess due to remodeling.
Nice place - good value.
Pros: Nice comfortable rooms. Front desk staff was super nice (let us check in early). Breakfast was similar to other hotels and good. This place is a great value.
Cons: I hesitate to make the comment but the hotel could use some updating in the rooms. They were in very good condition and clean, just a bit dated. On the other hand, I think I'll take their good price and keep the rooms the way they are.
Pros: Close to U of I sports venues.
Excellent value and service!
Pros: The rooms were good sized, especially the
kitchen bar, where I could spread out all of my work papers. The business office was available frequently, with no other users.
The place was spotless, and I had my towels
replaced every day, though I didn't request this. The breakfast was ample, and a great way to start the day, and get freshened up again before going out on appointments. The breakfast attendant was helpful and courteous.
Cons: The printer in the business office didn't work, but I was able to utilize other locations to get my printing done.
Pros: Great room. Very quiet. It was a great experience.
Cons: Bed could have been more comfy and carpets could use a cleaning
