Johnson County Historical Society Museum is at 860 Quarry Rd. Exhibits and interactive displays show how the land, people, transportation, business and industry evolved to create today's Johnson County community. Permanent exhibits include the Meskwaki in Johnson County, the Mormon Handcart Expedition of 1856, Community Stories project, Printing Press and farm life in the 20th century. Temporary exhibits also are offered. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
$5; free (ages 0-12). Admission includes Antique Car Museum of Iowa.
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10-5, Sun. noon-5. Closed major holidays.
