AAA Inspector Notes
Inspector Pick (Wedding facilities): I believe this is the perfect place for a wedding; they have a magnificent formal ballroom, a spa, fine dining and even a bowling alley nightclub.
This hotel has a unique, colorful décor in its guest rooms, and yet a very classic, formal ballroom. Some rooms have hot tubs and kitchenettes, and all the bathrooms have TVs in the mirrors. You will also note a Presidential Seal beside the restaurant's menu listing of its signature cinnamon-brined grilled Iowa pork chops. This is because President Obama stayed at the property, and when he dined in the restaurant, he loved this dish so much that he requested the recipe be forwarded onto his personal chef at the White House. Don't miss either the original stained-glass skylight in the lobby, or the bowling alley nightclub. Smoke free premises. 130 units, some two bedrooms and kitchens. 11 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

lovely!
Pros: Everything was delightful. They have the most unique waterfall/firefall outside their entrance which we found stunning. The room was lovely, the bathroom as well. We did not have a great view, but oh, well. Our 7 year old grandson loved the indoor pool. Food was good. The coffee shop had the BEST Scones! The bowling alley on site was also a huge hit. We loved our stay and would stay again. Also---the baseball stadium for the Quad City River Bandits is an absolute delight for all---right on the Mississippi River, with an amusement park attached.
Cons: our view, but honestly, it didn't matter in the least. Oh and we were there on a Sunday morning. The restaurant isn't open, all they do is a Sunday buffet. They didn't tell us on check in that you must make a reservation for the buffet. Again, it wasn't a big deal. We had breakfast in their little coffee shop and it was perfect. A fresh baked egg sandwich and the best scones I've had in a long, long time!
