AAA Editor Notes
Mathias Ham House Historic Site is at 2241 Lincoln Ave. next to the entrance to Eagle Point Park. The 23-room limestone Italianate villa, built in 1856, has been restored and furnished to reflect the splendor and lives of the Ham family in antebellum Dubuque. An 1833 lead miner's double log cabin, a granary, a one-room schoolhouse and a re-created lead mine, or “badger hole” also are on the grounds.
