Hitchcock Nature Center is at 27792 Ski Hill Loop. This 1,200-acre preserve in the Loess Hills has boardwalks, overlook decks, an interpretive center and 10 miles of hiking trails with access to prairie, woodlands, bluffs and wildlife. The area is especially popular with birds-of-prey enthusiasts during the raptor migration season, September through December. The Loess Hills Scenic Byway traverses a section of the preserve.
Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 4 hours minimum.
